55 Enterprises in Beijing Try out Collective Bargaining System on Wages

Prior to this September, 55 enterprises in Beijing will try out a collective bargaining system on wages, focusing on such difficult issues (and hot topics for employees) as labor remuneration, working hours, rest and leave, insurance and welfare. Most of the pilot enterprises are small enterprises with fewer than 30 employees.

 

Shanghai: Enterprises May Suspend Operations When Temperature Is above 38°C

According to a circular recently issued by the Shanghai Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau, when the temperature is above 38°C, enterprises where the work environment cannot meet conditions for working under extremely high temperature may take necessary measures such as suspending operation and making sure that employees get sufficient rest, according to their actual circumstances, except in those industries that are critical to national welfare, the people's livelihood, urban operational safety or the people's basic life.

 

Dongguan Will Try out a Collective Bargaining System on Wages in More Enterprises

At the beginning of this year, the Dongguan Municipal Human Resources Bureau announced it would try out a collective bargaining system on wages in about ten initially selected enterprises located in four or five towns and streets. However, a relevant official from the bureau recently said that Dongguan is planning to try out the system in more enterprises, and is selecting the appropriate types of enterprises.

 

Over 60% of Unionized Enterprises in Guangzhou Will Implement Collective Bargaining System on Wages by End of This Year

According to Guangzhou's three-year work plan for a collective bargaining system on wages, by the end of this year, Guangzhou will strive to have over 60% of unionized enterprises establish a collective bargaining system on wages.
